Weapon System Overview
The best weapon is the one that fits the character’s confirmed requirements and gives the player a combat rhythm they can use consistently. Damage displayed in isolation cannot explain reach, attack commitment, recovery, skills, or how the weapon fits a Build. This guide therefore uses selection criteria rather than an unsupported universal ranking.
Weapon Categories
Categories are a starting point for comparing general combat expectations, but every weapon record still needs individual verification. Use the protected Swords, Axes, Bows, and Staves category pages to understand how the database will expand; an empty category does not imply a current recommendation.
How to Choose Weapons
Test the full normal sequence, note how far each action carries the character, and decide whether there is enough time to defend after a missed attack. Confirm requirements and scaling only from a published record. Then ask whether the skill and timing solve a real problem for the intended Build.
Early Game Considerations
Early resources are easier to manage when one dependable weapon receives most of the attention. Avoid investing heavily before testing the moveset, and keep alternatives until the preferred range and commitment are clear. The beginner tips explain how this fits the first hours.
Build Relationship
A weapon should support the Build’s preferred range, defense, and resource use. The Beginner Build prioritizes comfort and flexibility, while the Strength Build begins from confirmed category compatibility rather than appearance. A magic-oriented direction must likewise start from equipment and skills verified for the current version.
Growing Weapon Database
The weapon database publishes one source-reviewed record at a time. Future comparisons can become more specific only when enough records share verified version context and comparable fields. Until then, unknown damage, locations, and ranking positions remain undisclosed rather than inferred.
